Fast and Furious is a Sprint event where the young swimmers who are 18 years and below sprint 25 meters and then those ones who are above 18 sprint 50 meters.
It takes on all swimmers 6 years and above with swimming in different age groups. The gala mainly focuses on super speed with the fastest swimmers in the different events and strokes being rewarded. Though the gala has no trophies, the different swimmers get rewards in form of gifts.
What is special about this edition is that some outstanding athletes, especially those ones who beat the fast and Furious records will go away with some cash prices and this time around.
Athletes to qualify for this gala, they have to meet certain qualifying time, but the main emphasis is on who is the fastest swimmer of the event.
Many swimmers have really worked hard, especially over the holidays, summer holidays, and they’re looking forward to something that is going to challenge them. So, at this year’s Fast and Furious expect to see speed, big waves, explosions, hard kicks, fast hands and much more.
This event is going to take place at Kampala parents on the 27th and 28th September 2025.
